About the AutoPrep II™
The fully automated, high-speed fiber preparation unit AutoPrep II strips, cleans and cleaves a fiber in less than 20 seconds. It is primarily designed for industrial applications, where accuracy, reliability and a high production yield is required.
The AutoPrep II is a unique product utilizing the patented burst tech-nology* for fast and chemical free fiber stripping and cleaning of all polymer-based fiber coatings. Optimal cleaves are generated by an highly advanced and patend pending cleaving process.
The AutoPrep II is developed to meet the industries' requirements of
fast and consistent fiber preparation with extreme cleanliness and high fiber strength.
The AutoPrep II has a userfriendly design. Guided fiber holders easily place the fibers in the correct posi-tion and a "One Touch" go button starts the automatic preparation process.
Burst technology instantly vaporizes the fiber's coating. The result is a perfectly stripped and clean fiber. The stripped area is free of debris when viewed at 400x magnification and the strength is typically >35 N (400 Kpsi). The cleaver generates typical cleave angles of less than 0.5 degrees.
To ensure high quality and repeat-ability, all critical processes for stripping, cleaning and cleaving are controlled by the built-in micropro-cessor.
The AutoPrep II is adapted for stand-alone use and is compatible with all of the worlds leading fusion splicers.
